Excellent! Welcome!
Hi & welcome
Welcome and Greetings from Kelowna!
I welcome all
Am the geodesist from the Poland. He works on the wdrożeniem of fotogrametrii for small areas - the measurement of buildings and roads.
He executes measurements photogrammetric from the ground (not from drone).
Excellent! Photogrammetry from the ground is a favorite topic of mine. Welcome!
Thank you!
Hiya. New here. Thought I’d say hello ![]()
Background: based in Perthshire, Scotland; interested mostly in nature photography - landscape, drone, geology, astrophotography.
I’ve recently been getting into photogrammetry for fine art - fling a bunch of data at WebODM, take the textured 3d model, play with it in Blender, experiment with novel lighting and camera positions that I wouldn’t have considered or couldn’t access at source, export and finish the results in my usual photography workflow.
This little triptych is from a section of the A93 through Glenshee showing the intersection of new and legacy old road. Over a couple of afternoons I flew the drone all around the glen for a distance of about 1km north to south, ran it all through WebODM, used Blender for consistent lighting and camera distances and came up with the new compositions, finishing each in Luminar Neo. So that’s kinda my thing ![]()
Welcome to the forum!
Interesting use of the final products.
Cheers!
Hi All, new to the forums, based at University of Reading
I’m mostly interested in using drones in Agricultural research, my department has just acquired drones with thermal, hyperspec & LIDAR.
Looking forward to having a play around with the software and seeing what everyone else is up to
Peter
Hi Peter
Welcome to the forum, these guys are really good at helping
Hello thanks for having me.
Welcome @ScottGui1
Thanks, I have had webodm a few years but am now involved in more mapping projects. Trying to update and cannot find any help on here (I’m sure it is me). Using a Mac and docker. Any ideas on where I can look on here? Thanks
I am a Windows user…, native install no docker or fancy stuff.
Open a separate thread detailing your challenges and we’ll see if we can get you sorted!
Hello All, I’m Phil from Silver Bay, Mn. I’m doing some mapping for a few construction projects in the area. I still don’t know how to easily deliver a 3d model without a huge TIF file attached. Is there an easy way to share the 3d model? I’m 2 years into flying, I’m licensed and insured but have mostly been doing a self apprenticeship, but now, I want to make some money. Can anyone help with suggestions for simple deliverables?
Hiya Phil, welcome to the forum
Welcome Phil!
There are several ways to share 3D models.
First, take a look at Sketchfab. This is a popular site for sharing models. The downside is that the size of your model is limited.
Another way is 3dviewer.net. Take a look at this for more information: 3D Model Sharing By a Web Link - #9 by GaryStebbins
There are certainly other ways to share a model, but these are the two that I have used.
Hello, greetings
