WebODM Lightning just added a Checkpoint feature, and it’s a game-changer for anyone focused on mapping accuracy

Achieving consistent, survey-grade accuracy from a drone doesn’t require expensive equipment - it requires the right workflow.

In this new video, I demonstrate how to:
🔹Perform GCP averaging to reduce GNSS noise and improve accuracy
🔹How to use the new Checkpoint feature in WebODM Lightning
🔹What to do if your checks identify errors

Whether you’re producing deliverables for clients or refining your field procedures, these techniques will help you build confidence in your mapping accuracy and data quality, and all without breaking the bank.

Very good!

Will this feature be available in the WebODM?

I would assume it will eventually. But it’s dependent on a small number of people who maintain that.

If you have the skills maybe you want to help out - see post here: Maintainer Needed for the ODM repo
