So, here’s what I have tested locally:
No tuning, and not using the optimal matcher, but there is certainly a big improvement in performance.
It should get even better once we can get ORB/AKAZE above 15k features, as SIFT is usually hovering around 30k-45k, giving it the ability to reconstruct as much as it does.
