OpenDroneMap t-shirts and crewneck sweatshirts

Hi All,

Starting tomorrow 11 March 2024 and running through 31 March 2024, we’ll be offering a short term run of T-shirts and crewnecks for presale.

Easy to get in the US, but perhaps a little more difficult elsewhere, so for the folks outside the US, we’ll have a process for shipping from stateside at cost, I’ll post more details this week on how that will work.

They look good, hope seeing that 'm in UK shipping wont be extortinate

A quick look at a USPS estimator, and assuming weight is 8oz in a bubble envelope, it’s probably $20 USD to the UK. But, I’ll run some numbers and report back.

Hi All,

It’d be good to know for international shipments where we might want things shipped, so I put together an informal poll so I have some idea of what scenarios to run. Please write in options as needed and reply with a country as appropriate and useful. Thanks!

Jūpmode, the company making these and running the broader compaign has indicated they will ship wherever folks order from, which is good news, and much simpler.

Link now live for orders until the 31st of March (this month):

You can also check out the broader campaign for a variety of non-profits and small businesses:

unfortunately shipping costs (£25) to the UK makes this too expensive for a Tee shirt, as it would mean the total cost would be £41 and their isn’t a Tee shirt on the planet that is worth that

Yeah, that’s always a challenge with T-shirts internationally. It might be worth figuring out if there’s any benefit to pooling shipping if we get enough folks from particular regions.

We can do a future sale in other contexts as well, so if anyone has favorite shirt producers in their area, we’re definitely soliciting recommendations.

Edit: if folks can report back on what they’re seeing for shipping costs, that might be useful, as I’d be willing to ship via US postal service for folks, which will likely take longer, but be more cost effective.

For example, I think I can ship to the UK for £16, based on my shipping estimator.

Definitely! I was looking at the other t-shirts in the sale, and I think there are some opportunities to improve ours, but I had limited lead time on this particular drive, so we’ll iterate toward some fun ones, and commission some more formal ones, probably with the funds from this sale.

First sale at 6:15PM tonight!

If you’re outside the US, let me know if the shipping is too high for you and you want me to look into alternatives. Email me at info@opendronemap.org if you’d like help with shipping.

Let me know in the next week (before 28 March) if you’re outside the US and want to order a t-shirt and save a little on shipping. Ping me at info@opendronemap.org, and we’ll coordinate the order.

A quick reminder: just a couple more days of reduced shipping costs for folks outside the US.

This is now closed. We are about middle of the pack for printing and sending, but the team reached out today to verify logo dimensions and similar, so I think we’re getting queued up for printing. :crossed_fingers:

Thanks to all for ordering!
