My name is Chris Budda, and I am with Excel Drone Services, and our focus is on mapping. We like what we see so far and look forward to working with this community and doing our part in moving ODM forward.
We have made a few maps so far which have turned out fine, however our GSD was over twice of what we expected given the AGL we were flying at, any idea why that might be and how we could resolve the issue?
Thanks for your reply, we did solve the GSD issue by putting in the 5472 pixel resolution instead of the default resolution which appeared to be 2000. We set the Ortho-Resolution at 1.0 and DEM Resolution at 2.0, which has worked well until recently.
However, when sending the images to the node for processing, it seems to freeze up, then we get a “Connection Error” saying they retried 10 times and it failed! We tried loading and running images that we already made a map from and get the same “Connection Error”
Any suggestions?
Typically this means your machine ran out of RAM and the processing engine crashed. Rebooting the machine will help restart the processing engine and make it responsive, but you might need to investigate adding more RAM/pagefile/swap, or downsizing images.
