My first work with ODM and the orthomosaic is a bit messy, the roof is all weird. Same pictures gave great results in Agisoft Metaphape app. What am I doing wrong??

There’s at least two ways to get an ortophoto.
Try using the mesh for ortophoto
Hi Andre
Are you able to upload the images anywhere for people to test? As well as checking which mesh is used to generate the orthophoto, I wonder if more features will help (set min-num-features quite a lot higher - I’m often using 50 000 plus), and / or a higher quality point cloud (check pc-quality - set to high or ultra). Another option to try is turning on pc-geometric.
My choices are not necessarily ‘right’, most of my own work is pretty iterative and these suggestions may still fail for you.
Is the model looking allright at those points where the image is warped?
Cheers
Adam
Hi guys!
Already spend the entire day testing different settings and the results are always bad.
I am a bit lost and disappointed, with agisoft and dronedeploy everything worked flawless at first time.
Those are the pictures in case you want to give it a try:
It took 5 or 6 attempts, but I’ve finally downloaded the images.
Initial attempt failed due to race condition - feature files not ready, but now re-running it with ‘no-GPU’
I am now making a new test with the settings in that link you shared.
Looking forward to see the results. I think it will take 4 hours to complete ![]()
Looks like all your images are nadir images, taking them at say - 70 or 80° should improve the result. You could fly it again and add the new images to the existing ones, which should improve the roof, and add some points and textures to the walls.
In this case I only need the 2d orthomosaic, do you think I still should made it at 75º?
It can help sort out the structure of repeating patterns such as large roof areas like this.
Did you try running the task as ‘fast orthophoto’?
