Hi All,
for some applications, we’d like to be able to go to the original ‘Raw’ photos the drone captured, and see the height of points on these photos as calculated by WebODM.
That is, assume we uploaded >500 photos, created successfuly a good Orthophoto and 3D textured model. Now we want to be able to choose a specific point on original photo #22, rather than just on the orthophoto or model, and get what the 3D model says about that point in terms of height/altitude. Of course, this will only work on photos and areas in the photo that were included in the successful mapping.
Any ideas how to simply do that (without heavy programming)?
thanks
Why not open the ortho and DSM in QGis and check it?
Thanks for the reply,
because we want to work with the original discrete photos.
In our method, we locate something of interest (say tree foliage growth, new pipe laid out) in a specific photo, and we want to know the height of that. We do not want (for various reasons) to have to re-locate this object in the Orthophoto/3D model itself, whcih is large and slow to load/move. This is an operation that needs to happen many times (potentially hundreds of times) per area scanned.

It is probably doable but it will take a lot of time
APOS80,
can you tell me what files exactly in the ZIP archive generated by WebODM include the DSM? thanks!
