I took the drone out this weekend and flew an old plantation site outside of Baton Rouge Louisiana. The Cottage Plantation was built in 1825 and burned down in 1960. The flight was later in the day so the shadows are quite harsh in the orthomosaic, but the DSM and DTM turned out beautiful. I have also included some pictures of it from the 1930s and in 1960 right after it burned.
Data collection was with a DJI Mini 3 Pro. Mission planning was done in Mission Planner and the waypoints file converted to CSV. Flight automation was with the Litchi Pilot app. Flight profile double grid with 75/75 overlap/sidelap. Total flight time was 15 min. Processed in WebODM on Ubuntu Linux.
