Can't view textures in 2 recent version 2s, but in 1.9 I can (3D model of pumpkins)

143 images with a Nikon D200, PC looks ok, but when I try to view the textured model I get a white screen. It’s not a total crash, as I can go back to dashboard and reload the PC.
With same images and very similar settings I was able to view the textured model with the previous 1.9.x version, and I can view the models generated with version 2 in Meshlab.

The texture model disappears when you click Show Texture model

Even with these mostly default 3D settings textures fail, so I guess it’s a bug.

I am pretty sure this is related to the recently opened bug where textures fail to apply when georeference data is missing.
