Good morning, I made a survey of a sports field.
Overlap 85/75%, double grid, height 35m, speed 3m/s, exposure time 1/1000, total 480 images.
I process 480 images with WEBODM but the result in terms of precision compared to the points beaten with GPS SOKKIA GCX2 RTK was not satisfactory.
I tried to use only images of the north-south flight and then only east-west images, the result was always not very precise.
I also tried only half of the double grid images, but the accuracy is similar to the full set of 480 photos
I tried to use only the east-west flight using only half of the images in order to decrease the overlap to about 60-65%.
Much better result, precision similar to GPS OKKIA GCX2 RTK.
I also tried many settings found on the forum, but none of them improved the accuracy. Only the overlap reduction helped me.
I’m now trying the overlap reduction on other sets of images from other works, because some works were more precise than others and I didn’t understand why.
Increasing the overlap and the number of photos does not always help.
