I cannot doubt I’ve done something wrong, but I have 8 established control points, each with a minimum of 6 and most with about 8 or more matches … but maybe “broken up”, such as 3 or 4 here then 3 or 4 there, for a total of eight. Since the base map is about 7 years old, on one item I matched the flown photos to a “recoverable”, point nearby(maybe ten feet away, but all coincidental on the base map.
The file will not save, which is a shame, since there’s no indication exactly what the problem is.
Is there a way to make GCP Editor to, at the least, save the file, even if it’s not useable? I think it would be helpful to actually look at the file and search for the precise issue.
I would think 93 images rather equally spread out to 8 control points should be enough.
Could less than stellar, contrast on a septic lid be an issue?
every gcp need at minimun 3 pictures with matches, and 5 minimun gcp, if you use the gcp editor of webodm you can see the export file at the moment to export or when you click on export file with less gcps and with less pictures but with warnings of insuficien gcps or images ;and its saved at discharge archive of the navigator crome or other
after you must add the file to the images archive of the flight and load to webodm procesing . do captures of your process to can help you, is trickie to match the gcp with the tarjet of the picture only if both points are green have a correct match
Does WebODM do anything to verify, that an item derived by drone flight imagery, exists in the base map?
I have two items that do not appear on the “old”, base map. I have relatively good data from a 2022 county flight, but the base map is 5 years or so, older. The items chosen have been applied, to nearby dots, or otherwise denotable points that are within about 10 feet.
File Export only prints out the zone information(first line), and no GCP data is saved… be mindful, that I am using 1.9.3, on a backup computer(1.9.3 was loaded about 6 or so months ago), and I haven’t yet re-updated to 2.2.2, until I can figure what caused WebODM, to crash(?), along with my dedicated drive, and hours later, a backup drive of data, since none of the problems I endured occurred until after the upgrade, on a computer that had shown no problems for the past year or so. Probably all coincidental(like working on a Ford auto), but I’m left a little g-n-shy for the moment.
Also, I used the CCP Interface, not the GCP Editor. I’ll reinstall the GCP Editor, after upgrading to 2.2.2
