Understanding contents of "odm_orthophoto_corners.txt"

Hi everyone,

I just got introduced to open drone map and it’s been a fun ride so far.

I do have a question about the some of the output files - specifically the odm_orthophoto/odm_orthophoto_corners.txt file.

I went through the code for odm_orthophoto and I could see that the corners file contains a sort of boundary for the orthophoto image. The coordinates are however based on a coordinate system that I don’t know (it’s definitely not longitude and latitude values and does not look like the UTM coordinate system either).

Could anyone point me in the right direction? The documentation does not say what the file contains and since this is my first brush with GIS type software I assume I’m missing some background information.

This is a sample content of the file:
-7.20499191284179688e+01 -4.35164756774902344e+01 7.42409515380859375e+01 4.32444229125976562e+01.

I assume it would be possible to obtain GPS coordinates from these.

Looking forward to your replies!

If you need the bounds of the orthophoto, it might be easier to just query them with gdal from the orthophoto directly.

gdalinfo odm_orthophoto.tif

The values of the corners file are added to a UTM offset (which you’ll find in odm_georeferencing/coords.txt on the second line).

Thanks alot! This was super helpful!
