Terminal not working

Hello,

I’m new here, using WebODM, but also just got the book “OpenDroneMap: The Missing Guide”, and in it some of the initial steps to try out some of the commands in Terminal on MacOS such as “$ sysctl kern.hv_support” and it returns “zsh: command not found: $”

What am I doing incorrectly? I am unable to get any of the Terminal commands to run.

Hello, welcome!

Don’t type the dollar sign $. That’s just to indicate that it’s a shell command (to mimic the look of bash on Linux for an unprivileged user).

So just type sysctl kern.hv_support.
