Ive been looking for a setting to turn of mesh creation, it turns out it was already there!
According to the docs its for those that just whant 2D results but that seems to be wrong.
Is this a miss in the doc’s or the program?
I am not sure if this should really prevent the creation of a 3D Mesh, it says only “full 3D Model” I also guess that at least a minimalistic model is needed because of the camera parallax effect which comes from your different positions and the camera lens curvature which is (maybe) less important. Otherwise, your 2D Orthophoto would be strange as the one from google. When you ever had a closer look at the google earth / maps images, you will see that the image is not perfectly from top.
Bingo! A 3D mesh is created from the matches (“sparse cloud”) rather than running though dense matching and extracting maximum detail.
I still think the docs are a bit confusing.
I’ve noted this. I’m working towards that end of the parameters.
