Preferred CPU type?

I’m looking to build a better computer, but different CPU’s have different strengths. Some is good for gaming, workstations and some for servers.

I wonder what’s good for photogrammetry?

Core-count is important for some parts of the workflow, but single-thread performance is critical for others.

I’d say the fastest single-thread performance you can find with the highest core-count is likely how I’d optimize.
