# Plant health algorithm : Celsius

Hello,

I’m using Plant Health module in WebODM and wondering about the Celsius algorithm. Does it work with a non-thermal camera? If so, what does it actually represent? Also, when applying the JET color palette, I would expect the snow-covered areas to appear in blue (indicating low values), yet they appear in red. I have already tried the JET reverse palette, which shows snow in blue as expected, but I would still like to understand what values this algorithm is actually measuring.

For WebODM, I’m not sure, but for OpenDroneMap Desktop, the plant health module isn’t particularly intelligent – it doesn’t work with a non-thermal camera, but it doesn’t yet let you know that you aren’t using a compatible sensor.

In short: if you aren’t using a thermal camera, the thermal representation does not mean anything.
