Managed to sell the drone idée to the ceo!

I took a drone licens last summer, learned about drone photogrammetry and WebODM.

Showed orto and pointcloud to the ceo and talked with the supervisor about it. I was asked to write a paper about it with cost and benefits. They loved it!

So now a P4RTK and a computer is on the way in. I’m going to use WebODM and CloudCompare for processing and editing.

Teaching myself about photogrammetry has really paid of. There’s no point in waiting for the firm to teach you so you better do it yourself.

Update!

Unpacked all the stuff today, felt like Christmas.

I’ve planed for educating my teammates about using the output from ODM.

Documentation of construction sites before digging. Ortophoto can be used for planing and quantification, pointcloud also for quantification.
