We have a dataset [GitHub - OpenDroneMap/odm\_data\_buergewald: Subset of https://github.com/idt-fhac/odm\_data\_buergewald · GitHub](https://github.com/OpenDroneMap/odm_data_buergewald/)
created from a Micasense RedEdge-P - we were investigating what the texturing-skip-global-seam-leveling parameter influences.

The tooltip says Skip normalization of colors across all images. Useful when processing radiometric data. Default: False

We found that the NDVI histogram between a run with this feature enabled or disabled does not change.
Similar to the images channels itself.

We were wondering in which situation or for which evaluations the changes to the radiometric data is relevant

As far as I can remember, texturing-skip-global-seam-leveling is enabled by default with thermal and multispectral datasets, as otherwise the original values get modified which is not a suitable outcome for either. In other words: texturing seam leveling only applies to 8-bit RGB datasets.
