Sorry if this is really obvious but if I select node-odm-1 (manual) is it processing on my own, local machine? How do I make sure it’s using my full resources for processing…etc?
Many thanks!

what version of ODM are you using?
Yes.
That is the version of webodm.
What I mean is do you have odm installed in windows with docker, windows native or something else?
Sorry, I have no idea. I paid for the installation version and it extracted and installed. I think it’s probably just a standard Windows installation?
While on the topic of information about the software, one useful addition, at least the Windows native version I’m using, is for the About tab to give the build number, which isn’t visible anywhere ATM.
I do not use that version, but I am pretty sure that with the windows native version it will automatically use all available resources, so you are good to go.
Correct.
Thanks for the reply but while processing I can see increased activity in my cpu but gpu is idle. I have a setting in my graphics card utility that ‘forces’ an application that you can bind it to, to use its resources…etc. Can’t remember off hand my specs but it’s a high end gaming laptop with an nvidia gtx card, 1Tb ssd hd and a decent amount of memory.
So it doesn’t seem like it’s utilising the full resources of the machine. When I launch a 3d or 2d game, the extra cooling fans kick in and I can see the gpu and cpu …activity and temperature spiking and my machine becomes noticeably warmer. With odm it hardly seems to do much in the utilisation of resources and took about 45m to render a 20 picture map scan…
We use GPU acceleration for two parts of the processing pipeline, and only if the images fit within the CUDA texture dimensions.
You will not see GPU usage the entire time, but rather periods of intense CPU usage, intense RAM usage, intense GPU usage, etc in turn.
Thanks for that. What are those CUDA guidelines please?
Many thanks
They should be available in the developer documentation for the driver release or your card on NVIDIA’s site.
If you never see any GPU activity, try resizing the images smaller.
