I shot a mapping image using DJI MAVIC 2 ZOOM and created an orthophoto using webODM, but the following error occurred. Please tell me how to resolve.
An orthophoto could not be generated. To generate one, make sure GPS information is embedded in the EXIF tags of your images, or use a Ground Control Points (GCP) file.
We become indebted to.
It is DJI JAPAN Technical Support.
I sincerely apologize for taking time to answer.
We confirmed to head office department We are currently experiencing abnormality in altitude calculation recorded in EXIF information due to product firmware bug.
※ This problem occurs only in calculation of the value entered in the EXIF information, altitude on the application or altitude recognized by the barometer of the aircraft is normal.
According to the specifications of our products including Mavic 2, errors are always generated at the altitude in the Exif information, but it is planned to be alleviated by future Mavic 2 firmware update.
At present, the release date etc. are undecided.
I apologize for any inconvenience,
We appreciate your understanding.
I, I’m new on this forum and I speak french so, please be indulgent with me. I also receive the error message : « An orthophoto could not be generated. To generate one, make sure GPS information is embedded in the EXIF tags of your images, or use a Ground Control Points (GCP) file ». I use a Mavic Pro and I make over 20 orthophotos before and I never had this problem before, exept for two of the last orthophotos I try to make. The two sets of photos were taken one year apart. My Exiff location information seems to be OK (see image below). I try to join the webODM log for the orthophoto who didn’t work but I dont find how to join a text file.
Hi
Reviving this thread regarding orthophoto issues.
I used webODM in this case (though I am also using ODM and don’t think this makes a difference here) and was able to complete full process without any errors. Looks like the log came clean and I was able to download all assets, but the actual orthophoto file and DSM file themselves, i.e. the TIF, are empty (2kB and not 100s of MB). I am not sure what happened since everything seemed normal. Trying to look at the outputs in webODM I get a “bad request message” at the top left.
