How long for docker initial startup

Using Mac Studio M1, Ventura- started trying to install in december, worked once and couldnt even load docker again. So i uninstalled let itvset and re-installed. I dont want to do anything that might interfere with the process. Started loading WebODM and it couldnt get Docker loaded and indtructed me to start it manually. So i did. Ive been seeing a message “Docker Desktop starting…” and im wondering how long i should wait before using the computer for anything.

When I start Docker Desktop on my M1 it’s done within a couple of minutes. I think there’s something wrong with your installation. :frowning:

Thanks! Having loads of trouble trying to get it started. Thought id try one more time before getting support. I seem to recall seeing somewhere that the first time starting up could take a long time.
5.1/2 hrs and docker is still loading….I’m calling it!
Thanks again

Six seconds to bring up the window, another ten or so for the whale in the bottom left to go green. It may be worth clicking the little bug icon near the gear at the top, and then clean/purge data and reset to factory defaults.

I do wish there was a publicly-available alternative to Docker Desktop which had a decent interface. :frowning:
