This is the article I remember reading on this topic:

Interesting reading !
So according to your measures, the second process seems ok. But number of gcp vs control point are not enough to make a conclusion.
The mavic 2 pro was the ugliest drone I had to make survey ! Sometimes results were not satisfying, totally different from p4p which has mechanical shutter.

The Mavic 2 Pro has certainly been an interesting camera to figure out.

For example, using Pix4D, I discovered I needed to use this option to show a good calibration in the Quality Report.

I haven’t dug too far into the WebODM camera calibration options and reports - but I wouldn’t be surprised some adjustments are necessary for this drone’s camera.

I’m coming from the ArduPilot world where my quad-copters are carrying Sony Alpha series cameras. I’ve decided to dig into DJI products to just have another tool in my tool box. I chose the Mavic 2 Pro because it supports missions - and is a better drone than the Phantom. It does however, lack the Phantom’s mechanical shutter.

If I decide to go deeper into the DJI world, I may buy a Mavic 3 Enterprise. But it was less expensive to start with a used Mavic 2 Pro - and I think it’s always good to know a bit about the history of things.

Thanks!
