I am wondering which algorithms for orthomosaicing are used in webODM. From which open libraries the algorithms are imported for easy use? The thing I am wondering is: how does GPS information helps with mosaicing. Is this data there just to estimate rough image position - so the estimation of which image is successive to another is possible? I am guessing that alignment is executed with algorithm that is based only on descriptor search (alghoritm such as SIFT). With that I mean that the information of GPS is actually not that necessary. Please correct me that I will better understand the working principle of alignment.
